The sights were awful and the bolts stripped out by just barely putting them on the first time. Returning them. After i returned them they contacted my via email and wanted to send me a second pair even those was defective but made it right and contacted the manufacturer of them. They then sent me a newer version of the sights free of charge and they work really well and very pleased with them. After all of that, i would do business with them again. Thanks for making it right.
I was in the market for some nice BUIS. My first choice was Midwest Industries, but they are a bit pricey (over $100 per sight). I've known of guys to go through a rifle course and constantly break their plastic (not naming any brands) backups sights, so metal was an absolute requirement. For the price, I do not believe these can be beaten. They lock solid (though if you tug a bit, they give a lie, but snap right back to the locked position) and work well. For the price, I don't see how they can be beaten. Great choice, glad I got them!!
I find it funny flip ups is the trend.. "hold on mr. 400 pound bore I need to flip up my sights"!:) no, silly. With these, I feel comfortable using high mag scope instead of a red dot or scout rifle, and the final huge benefit is they are RUGGED, out in the bush or forest those knock of Pmag flip ups would shatter easily and be useless- not these.
I'm not easily surprised anymore, but when I can purchase something that is quality for a good price I am impressed. Enter the NEW Tactical Flip Up Iron Sight Rear/Front Sight Mount by Midknightoptics.
My Windham Weaponry "SRC" came, of course, sightless and I have been experimenting with mechanical sights since I purchased it. I had gone through quite a few 'combinations' while trying not to spend an excess amount of money on something that would be used as backup sights to my red/green dot sight and 3-9x40 tactical scope setups.
A package arrived on time and I was pleasantly surprised with the product. No hideous white lettering on the front, and from what I can tell good construction. All parts fit tight together. The release button is a little stiff right out of the box, but with a little oil and working the sights up and down I think it will eventually loosen up. I would definitely recommend these if you are doing a budget build. Great product, great value.

They look well made and sleek. For the price, you can't go wrong. I didn't want to spend $200 for iron sights as I got them more for cosmetic reasons than functionality as my rifle came with no sights at all. I just shoot at paper so pin point accuracy is not a major factor. Out of the box, They need a few drops of oil to make the button that makes them pop up smooth as it is kinda rough right outta the box. After that, they're just fine. I Used them at my local gun range and with minimal adjustments from the rear sight I was hitting iron plates at 100 yards away! Back to back hits.
I bought this Front Sight at the same time I bought Magpul's Rear Sight. The build quality is extremely high and they are very responsive to the range. I find it easy to keep a sight picture acquired between shots and these sights lend themselves to accurate performance out to about 150 yards. They are easy to adjust and stay where you set them. Overall, I highly recommend these as both primary and back-up sights.
It's a solid backup rear flip-up iron sight. Is it perfect? No. Will it last forever? Of course not. But it is a decent back-up rear iron sight and doesn't break the bank. I have my rifles scoped and I don't use irons as much anymore due to my age and my diminishing eyesight but I still feel the need to have backup irons. Also, I have a 3-9x40 scope with a pepper mount and my eyepiece easily clears the sight. I am purchasing another for one of my other rifles today.
Very nice sights delivered on time and packaged well. I installed to on an Adams arms gas piston upper. The MAGPUL pro sights have an excellent fit and finish, and function perfectly. I highly recommend these for piston upper AR's.
